Fret and Fiddle are available for a variety of workshops and interactive educational and community performances. We regularly perform in schools and tailor our concerts so that they are suitable for any age group and ability. We have performed to musical education groups such as Suzuki Violin groups who have also joined in with Fret and Fiddle as part of the performance! We have also performed for children with a variety of special educational needs as well as EYFS, KS1, 2, 3 and 4. Fret and Fiddle are also available for community interactive family concerts which may take place in the daytime at weekends in places such as village halls, community centres, church halls and meeting places.

During the concert, each member of the group introduces their instrument and gives a demonstration and explanation of some of the ways of playing that instrument. Often this includes an activity for the children to join in with, related to pitch, rhythm, counting the beat or another musical aspect such as dynamics. Sally is a Suzuki trained violin teacher and her training enables her to bring much of her fun-based musical learning to our workshops, including activities using movement and body percussion. Andy shows the children/families some very unusual instruments from other countries, such as the Greek Bouzouki!

''Fret and Fiddle brought energy and fun to the school with a wide ranging and entertaining performance that was exactly what we were looking for to support our music curriculum!

Hopefully we will meet again at some point and invite you all back.''

Best wishes,
