Toscana Strings is a vibrant string quintet comprising two violins, viola, cello and double bass. With the addition of the double bass our sound is richer and our repertoire more varied than the traditional string quartet. All five of us are conservatoire-trained professional musicians.

 

We play everything from traditional classical orchestral music to contemporary music (and anything in-between!) and tailor our repertoire to event organisers' specifications, making their event as special and unique as possible.

 

Playing together for over fifteen years, we have gained an excellent reputation for the quality of our playing and the communication leading up to the events.

 

Regular clients include Birmingham's Town Hall and Symphony Hall, Events Unlimited, Eversheds and University of Birmingham with venues ranging from Birmingham's Council House and Blenheim Palace to marquees in the grounds of private estates. We have played for private dinners for 30 guests, to wedding ceremonies and receptions for over 200.
